For the first time in a while, Takao Kazunari's face was void of any smile. College had proved to be too much for him, not even mocking his precious Shin-chan did anything to lift his spirits up. Piles upon piles of projects, unfinished notes and stained with coffee essays are most of the reason for his current mood swings.

The only consolation the former point guard has was the local coffee shop 5 minutes away from his college. It was small, quaint and not too crowded, but they make the best coffee with a friendly service.

"Yeah i'll take the usual, and keep the change" Takao has his head on his hands, brushing the strands of hair on his forehead back with large bags under his eyes "You must be a freshman at college huh?" his dark hues were barely open when he looked at the cashier in the eyes. She wore a radiant smile, the one he used to have until a few days ago and a cute blush staining her cheeks. He wasn't sure if her face was red due to him, or due to the exhaustion of running back and forth to yell out orders

"Huh?" Takao found himself at a loss for words, partly because he barely understood what she was saying with his clogged mind. He never took notice her before, he was always too much in a hurry to actually look at the cashier in the eye "I said you must be a freshman in college. I can see your eye bags from the back of the line"

Takao watch her lips twitch and open to let a giggle escape. Her smile was nothing short of contagious, and Takao found himself laughing too "Really? Was it that bad?" she nods grabbing a large coffee cup and scribbling his name "Yup it was. Why don't you sit down for awhile and actually enjoy your coffee here? I'm sure you have plenty of time to do your projects, and you really can't do them with bad health. A 10 minute break wouldn't hurt"

He couldn't find it in his heart to refuse the offer, not when she had made him laugh and actually cares about his well being despite them not knowing each other. Takao nods as a silent thank you and turns to find a seat for himself, but he stopped and can't help but think how nice and adorable she is. If only he had took the chance to look up and face her before today

"I'm-" he turns but was cut off by her "-Holding up the line. Don't worry i'll still be here for the next 10 minutes" Takao was usually the one to embarrass people-mostly Midorima- but now he finds himself as the one on the other side and turns red "Alright alright..if you want to you know, gaze upon me and fall in love with me i'll sit right there where you can see me" she giggles when she saw the bounce on his step as he sat down

After a short 3 minute of waiting Takao was glad to find that she's delivering his coffee to his table instead of calling for him to take the order. He smirks, hoping that despite his eye bags he can still charm her.

"Here you go, one cup of your usual" Takao grabbed for it but stopped mid way from downing it down when he notices the scribbling of black marker on it

'Takao. I hope you feel better! I'm sure you'd look much more handsome with a smile on your face'

Takao was once more rendered speechless and blushing when he looked up at her face "Hey you're being unfair! You're being really cute to me and i'm now all red!" she only shrugs and turn to walk away "Wait!" she looked over her shoulder at him with a raised brow "How about another order? Can i have a cup of you to go?" Takao face palmed himself internally for his lame pickup line. But the smile on her face was enough to boost his spirit back up and he smiled

However she did not return to give him her number, and yet Takao was still smiling. After he finished his coffee only then did he notice the tissue paper you left him, scribbled with your number and more encouraging words

"Shin-chan guess what happened today!" that was all Midorima needed to know that for some reason, Takao Kazunari was back
